What's New: Azalea was quite excited to report that her wild boar mini wire boy, Walter (Minsmere Meistersinger MW) was winners dog, best of winners and best of opposite sex at six months (his first two shows) to pick up two majors.
Azalea's little red wire girl , Stella, Minsmere Morningstar MW, also picked up a major up in Alaska. So, not only did Azalea get to visit with family on this trip but she got some nice show wins as well!
While Azalea was busy up in Alaska, Ray Chaplin was also in the show ring with his standard long girl, PBD Madison von Dachshire SL (Maddie), picking up two majors.
Maddie's first major. Maddie's second major.
At the February Lakeland cluster of shows Azalea reports that Stella came away with two more points by going winners bitch at two of the four shows.
Recently, at the Boca Raton Dog Show, our member's dogs had a very good day indeed. Azalea reports that the seven-month-old puppy that she co-owns with Margaret Halpern, Minsmere Mood Indigo MW (Henry), was best of variety over his littermate, Walter, and several more mature exhibits. It was all Azalea could do to keep all four of his little feet on the ground in the group ring!
Not to be outdone, Ray Chaplin took his standard long girl Maddie (PBD Madison von Dachshire SL), into the group ring that same day in Boca and they came away with a group four. Walter, who is great friends with Maddie from training classes, says way to go Maddie!
Maddie may have a windswept look in this picture but, she and Ray certainly were a stylish pair that day.
The AKC is now offering the possibility of earning the Grand Champion title to AKC champions of record and dogs that have finished their championship and are being shown as champions (move-ups). This will allow owners of those dogs to continue to show them in conformation. All of our member's babies have now been placed in new homes. Please check back to see when new litters of healthy well cared for and well socialized dachshunds are expected.
