Azalea is delighted to report that the red mini wire boy she bred, Miller, is now Ch. Minsmere in the Mood MW
and that his littermate sister, Lucy, is now Ch. Minsmere Musical Interlude MW (shown getting her second major).
Joining the new champion group is Norton, the wild boar boy she bred and shows for his owner, Amalia. Norton is now Ch. Minsmere Maestro MW. They are champions 4,5, & 6 for their mother, Lulu. Norton added the icing on the cake by taking a group two his first day out as a special under Denny Mounce. In one weekend out as a special he is already almost half-way to his Grand Champion title!

The AKC is now offering the possibility of earning the Grand Champion title to AKC champions of record and dogs that have finished their championship and are being shown as champions (move-ups). This will allow owners of those dogs to continue to show them in conformation. Working Dachshunds
Many of our members have dachshunds who regularly work as therapy dogs and brighten the days of many local patients at hospitals and nursing facilities.
